Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MKE Shirt Club ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use mkeshirtclub.com, the Design Studio, creator stores, the partner portal, and related services (the "Platform"). It applies to Customers, Creators, Partners, and visitors. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Service.

The short version

We collect what we need to print and deliver orders, run accounts and creator stores, pay Creators and Partners, and keep the Platform safe.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
You can update your information, close your account, and request a copy or deletion of your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Account information: name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash.
Order information: name, email, shipping address, items, sizes, colors, quantities, shipping method, order history, and communications about your orders.
Design and upload content: artwork, images, text, and design layouts you create or upload, and the print files generated from them. You own your designs, as explained in our Terms.
Creator information: store name and URL, bio, headline, about section, profile photo, banner, location, social links, listings, prices, and payout and tax information we request to pay you (for example, a Form W-9).
Partner information: business name, contact name, email, and payout details.
Payment information: Pro subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited details from Stripe (such as subscription status and a customer reference) but never your full card number.
Communications: contact-form messages, emails, reviews, and other content you send or post.
Referral and rewards information: invite codes used, referral relationships, and points activity.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, and date and time of access, recorded in standard server logs.
Security and fraud data: login attempts (including failed attempts and the IP address used), and activity patterns relevant to fraud, abuse, and security.
Cookies and local storage: see Section 5.

1.3 Information from third parties

Payment processor (Stripe): subscription and payment status.
Print Partners and carriers: production status, shipping confirmations, and tracking information.
Referral Partners: the fact that you arrived through a partner's link or QR code.
Rights holders and others: information included in copyright, trademark, or abuse reports about content or accounts.

2. How We Use Information

Provide the Platform: create and manage accounts; process, print, ship, and track orders; operate the Design Studio, storefronts, and partner portal; and provide customer support, returns, and reprints.
Payments and payouts: process subscriptions, calculate and pay Creator earnings and Partner shares, apply rewards points and discounts, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
Communications: send order confirmations, shipping notices, password resets, account and policy notices, and, if you join our mailing list, news about new drops. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
Safety, security, and integrity: monitor, detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, payment abuse, infringement, spam, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; verify identities where needed; enforce our Terms, including holding or withholding payouts and suspending or banning accounts; and protect the rights, property, and safety of MKE Shirt Club, our Users, and others.
Improve the Platform: troubleshoot, maintain, and improve features and performance.
Legal compliance: comply with laws, regulations, legal process, and lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
With your consent or at your direction, for any other purpose disclosed to you.

We disclose personal information only as described below:

Print Partners: our local print shop and other printing and fulfillment providers receive the design, product details, and the shipping name and address needed to produce and deliver your order.
Shipping carriers (such as USPS) receive delivery details.
Service providers that host the Platform, send email, and process payments (such as Stripe), who may use the information only to provide services to us.
Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser information when fonts load, under Google's privacy policy.
Creators see orders of their Products with the Customer's first name and last initial, item, size, and status. Creators do not receive Customers' email addresses or shipping addresses.
Referral Partners see order numbers, dates, shirt counts, statuses, and their earnings for orders from their link. They never receive Customers' names, emails, or addresses.
Public information: reviews (with your first name), creator storefront details, and listings you publish are visible to anyone.
Legal, safety, and enforcement: to law enforcement, government authorities, courts, rights holders, payment processors, or others when we believe in good faith disclosure is required by law or legal process, or necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding fraud, infringement, illegal activity, security threats, or violations of our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MKE Shirt Club, our Users, or the public.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy's protections.
With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

4. Your Designs and Public Content

Designs you list for sale, storefront content, and reviews are public. Others can view and share them, for example through share links on social media. Please do not include personal information in public content that you do not want others to see. Designs you save but do not list are private to your account, except that they are processed to create print files for orders you place.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

These are necessary for the Platform to work. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Platform (such as login and checkout) will not work without them. Because we do not track you across other sites, we do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.

6. How Long We Keep Information

Account information: while your account is open.
Orders, payouts, and tax records: as long as needed for fulfillment, returns, accounting, tax, and legal purposes, generally up to 7 years.
Designs and print files: while your account is open and, for designs used in orders, as long as needed for production, reprints, and records.
Security records (such as login attempts): for a short period necessary to protect accounts.
Password reset links: expire after 1 hour.
Investigations and legal holds: we may keep information longer when needed to investigate fraud, infringement, or violations of our Terms, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes.

When you close your account, we delete your name, email, password, saved designs (except those needed as print records for orders already placed), points, and invite code, and we remove your name, email, and address from past orders, which we keep in de-identified form for accounting.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, restricted access to personal information, login rate limiting, checks on every uploaded file, and signed verification of payment and fulfillment notifications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and authorities as required by law. Please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.

8. Your Choices and Rights

8.1 Choices available to everyone

Update information: in My Account → Profile (and the Storefront tab for Creators).
Close your account: from My Account → Profile → Close account.
Marketing: unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by emailing us. We will still send transactional messages about your orders and account.
Cookies: manage them in your browser (see Section 5).

8.2 Privacy rights under U.S. state laws

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

know and access the personal information we have about you, and receive a portable copy;
correct inaccurate personal information;
delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising (we do neither); and
not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email customerservice@mkeshirtclub.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity, for example by confirming access to your account email, and respond within 45 days (or the period required by law). You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within the time required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us.

10. Where We Process Information

We operate in the United States and process and store information in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to third-party websites and services, including social networks used for sharing and creator profile links. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or on the Platform before the changes take effect.
